Welcome to Seven Hills State School and our learning community. We are confident that your association with our school will be a happy and productive one for you and your child. The primary years of schooling have a special place in the educational experience of our children. These years are crucial in a child’s development and provide the foundation for future success as lifelong learners. We believe that such a foundation is built in a safe, happy and supportive environment where students remain enthusiastic learners. This is facilitated through positive relationships between teachers and students, programs that are responsive to the needs of the learners and teaching strategies and learning experiences that motivate students to learn.

In addition, the partnership between home and school is also of fundamental significance in enabling children to achieve their best possible learning outcomes. We encourage your involvement with your own child’s education and your active participation in school life and school community events. Your children will respond well to your support, you will meet parents who share your interest in our school and you will gain a broader understanding of the education system.  There are opportunities for you to have input into school decision-making and policy development through the Parents and Citizens Association and various planning groups.

At Seven Hills State School we are fortunate to have a team of very experienced teachers and very capable support staff, many of whom have a long association with the school. Teachers realise the importance of providing timely advice about significant events in your child’s school day and keeping you well informed about your child’s progress. They welcome both formal and informal opportunities to do so. Should you have questions or concerns, be sure to contact your child’s teacher.

We look forward to working with you as your child grows and learns throughout their primary years of schooling.

Kind Regards,

Michelle Morrissey
Principal
